Augusta, GA:-- Tickets for the bull riding event of the 27th annual Augusta (Ga.) Futurity go on sale Friday, Dec. 9.
Tickets for the annual Augusta Futurity itself go on sale, Thursday, Dec. 15.
Details of the Futurity will be announced at a kickoff news conference to begin at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3, at the Metro Augusta Chamber of Commerce Building, located at Sixth and Broad.
Tickets for the annual University of South Carolina-Aiken Extra Inning Bull Riding event are priced as follows: Premium adult seats, $15 and $19; all other adult seats, $14; children 12 and younger, $8.
The usually sold-out “greatest show on dirt,” sanctioned by the Southern Extreme Bull Riders Association, begins at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, in the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center with roughly 50 of the nation’s top bull riders. Futurity general admission seats are $6 adult, $2 children 12 and younger for daytime events (8 a.m. until completion, Jan. 19-27); $10 per family for Youth/Amateur Finals (7:30 p.m. Jan. 21); and $12 adults, $2 children for Classic Finals (6 p.m. Jan. 26). Reserved seats are $13.50 adults, $5 children for Youth/Amateur Finals (Jan. 21) and Classic Finals (Jan. 26); $14.50 adults, $5 children for Western Horseman Cup Finals (6:30 p.m. Jan. 27); and $16.50 adults, $5 children for Futurity Finals (5:30 p.m. Jan. 28).
The 2006 Augusta Cutting Horse Futurity brings the foremost professional riders, trainers and owners of fine cutting horses to compete for a purse close to a million dollars! This fast-action, intense event is the largest and richest cutting horse futurity east of the Mississippi River.
The Futurity includes the Wrangler Family Fun Fest, the Futurity Dance, the Stallion Service Auction, the Augusta Futurity Select Sale and more than 200 exhibitors of quality Western wear, jewelry and tack. There’s something for everyone at the 27th Annual Augusta Cutting Horse Futurity!
