Wellington, FL – April 12, 2007 – Bainbridge Farm, owned by Richard Schechter and based in Wellington, had two top finishes in this year’s Winter Equestrian Festival. Lansing, ridden by Rob Bielefeld, was the reserve circuit champion in the Pre-Green 3&4 Year Old Hunter division. Playtime, who is leased for the year and is owned by Stacee Scott, was ridden by Jennifer Reid to the Adult Amateur 18-35 Hunter reserve circuit championship.
Playtime, a nine-year-old Warmblood gelding, won three championships and two reserve championships to his top circuit finish. “He really felt great,” Reid stated. “He’s the coolest horse to ride, and I feel lucky to have him. He performed well all season and gave us his best shot.”
In addition to Playtime, Reid piloted Jiminy Crickett II, Sweet Emotion and Malibu to top ribbons throughout the season. Reid just started riding Playtime this winter. “He was fairly unknown,” Reid explained. “Our primary goal was to prove that he’s a contender against more seasoned horses. We’re so proud of him because he had something to prove and he proved it.”
Lansing is a four-year-old Warmblood gelding that Bielefeld rode to two championships and one reserve championship. “He’s still a baby and still growing. He’s a big horse, so he’s coming along slowly,” Schechter noted. “We’re not going to have him show too often, but it’s been very encouraging to have him do so well at a show like the Winter Equestrian Festival.”
