Late Changes to World Cup Jumping Final Line-up
Equestrian News Release
The late withdrawal of French rider, Eugenie Angot, has brought the final total of competitors for this week's Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final in Las Vegas, NV, April 18-22, to 42. Angot's mare, Cigale du Taillis, suffered an injury during the final qualifying leg at s'Hertogenbosch in Holland last month and despite every effort to bring her back to full fitness it was decided on April 12, 2007, that she should not travel. Earlier in the week Sweden's Malin Baryard-Johnsson got a late call-up when Austria's Thomas Fruhmann also pulled out, but there will be no replacement for the French rider. Judy-Ann Melchior's mare, VDL Groep Grande Dame, did not make the official flight out of Amsterdam due to a late blood-test but the Belgian rider has made alternate arrangements so her horse is flying out independently to Los Angeles.
