Hollywood Dun It Reaches Unique Five Million Dollar Sire Milestone

Hollywood Dun It, the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Hall of Fame Inductee and All-Time Leading Sireís offspring just surpassed five million dollars in earnings. Hollywood Dun Itís offspring earnings now total $5,022,984.98. This is one more Hollywood Dun It accomplishment that will go down in the NRHA history books. The earnings of Hollywood Dun Itís progeny have broken one record after another and now the legendary sire becomes the very first NRHA Five Million Sire. The search for the horse that put Hollywood Dun It over $5 million mark will continue as it is not easy to find the exact one because of the numerous offspring competing at events.

Now deceased, the celebrated sire was owned by McQuay/Easton LLC, a partnership comprised of NRHA Two Million Dollar Rider Tim McQuay and his wife, Colleen McQuay of Tioga, TX, along with partner Jennifer Easton of St. Maryís Point, MN. Colleen McQuay expressed her appreciation to those breeders and trainers who placed their trust in Hollywood Dun Itís bloodline. "The reason ĎDun Ití has been able to reach this milestone is because of the mare owners and the people who have shown his foals and for that we are grateful."

Whether ridden by a Professional, Non Pro or Youth, Hollywood Dun It offspring have been stellar in the sport of reining. His foals have won many prestigious reining events including the NRHA Futurity, the NRHA Derby and Superstakes, the All American Quarter Horse Congress Futurity and the National Reining Breeders Classic. They have qualified and won gold medals in International Equestrian Federation (FEI), United States Equestrian Team (USET) and United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) sanctioned competitions and also earned breed association World Championships. Hollywood Dun It get can be found in the winnerís circle virtually worldwide. Outside of the show pen, "Dun Its" are prized by owners and breeders and are making their mark through their own progeny.

Hollywood Dun It (Hollywood Jac 86 x Blossom Berry) passed away in 2005 at the age of 22. At that time, Tim McQuay said the decision to put him down was a difficult one. McQuay noted, "Heís been a part of our family, and a part of our lives, for a lot of years. None of us wanted him to suffer." Colleen McQuay added, "I donít know if weíll ever be able to stand to put another horse in that stall." To this day, Hollywood Dun Itís stall remains empty as a memorial to the beautiful buckskin sire with a long flowing black mane and tail.

His legacy continues and there are undoubtedly more records to be broken by Hollywood Dun It offspring.
