Northampton, MA—July 18, 2006--Leonardo DaVinci cast his bronze, Horse. German Expressionist Franz Marc painted his Blaun Pferde (Blue Horse), and even Roy Rogers stuffed his palomino, Trigger.
Our Horses, Our Art, presented by Massachusetts Horse magazine at GalleryTK in Northampton, explores our inner Centaur and why, as Sir Winston Churchill is credited with saying, “The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man.” Or woman.
Saddle up and see for yourself. Our Horses, Our Art, July 23-26, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily, at GalleryTK, 114 Main Street, Northampton. An opening reception, “Unbridled Hospitality,” is planned Monday evening, 7 p.m., featuring live entertainment by acclaimed Northampton duo, Clay Jazz, and hospitality generously provided by Horse Heaven Hills Vineyard and Big Y Supermarkets.
