National Horse Show Announces the Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament Will Host 2005 ASPCA Maclay National Finals

Wellington, Fl June 21 The National Horse Show Association of America, Ltd., And the Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament today announced that they have reached an agreement that will see the ASPCA Maclay class produced by the National Horse Show at the 2005 Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament to be held on November 2-6, 2005. The present plan is to hold the warm up for the ASPCA Maclay on Saturday morning and the first two phases of the Maclay on Sunday morning. The Maclay competitors would then be able to observe the international finale to the Syracuse Tournament the uniquely formatted Syracuse Cup and the Beacon Hill $35,000 Junior/Amateur Grand Prix. Following that, the third or testing phase will be held as the feature and closing event of the session.
National Horse Show Association Chairman Gene Mische said, This will be something new and exciting for the Maclay and we believe represents the best solution for us in 2005. The NHS will produce the Maclay to ensure observance with our standards and the tradition of the class and we are very much looking forward to working with Syracuse to put on a showcase event for 2005.
Syracuse Chairman John Madden said, We are extremely pleased and honored to have reached an arrangement that will see the Maclay contested at the Syracuse Tournament in 2005, as the Maclay is a very important event for our sport. We hope the Maclay competitors will appreciate and enjoy the ability to interact with the international jumper riders and we plan some special events and clinics to take advantage of that opportunity.
