FORT WORTH, Texas- The American Paint Horse Association (APHA)
recognized four talented horses with Gelding Plus and Paint Preferred
incentive money for their efforts at the National Reining Horse
Association (NRHA) Futurity, held Nov. 23-Dec. 2, 2006 at the
Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.
Part of APHAs effort to reward Paint Horses for their success in
competition, the Gelding Plus and Paint Preferred incentive programs
honor the owners of top Paint Horses with thousands in added cash.
APHA awarded $15,000 in added money to program winners at the 2006
NRHA Futurity.
This year, 2007, will mark a significant change for APHAs
incentive programs. While the Gelding Plus program will now be
distributed to top geldings in APHA Zone competition, increased Paint
Preferred incentives will be available at NRHA Futurity. Competitors
with Paint Horses will now have the opportunity to win more than
$40,000 in added money at the 2007 NRHA Futurity through the program.
We hope that the chance to win even more added money will provide
even more incentive to show Paint Horses at top-level competition
like the NRHA Futurity, said APHA Paint Programs Coordinator
Jessica McDaniel.
