Small Pony Confirmation Hunter

WELLINGTON, Fla., Jan. 26--Lillie Keenan had a successful start Saturday in the Small Pony Confirmation Hunter at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival presented by Zimmerman Advertising. She took the blue ribbon home for both courses on two different ponies.
Keenan, 11, of New York, rides with Patricia Griffith of Katonah, N.Y.. The first course was smoothly completed by the seven-year-old red roan gelding, Pink Floyd. This pony is owned by Peter Pletcher of Magnolia, Tex.
"He is really fun," she said. "He has a big, striking stride and a snapping jump."
The second blue was on the 11-year-old dark bay mare, Blackberry, owned by Heritage Farm of Katonah.
"She has a bounding canter and jump, and they are both really easy but very different to ride," Keenan said.
These ponies will finish their division and be pinned for Champion and Reserve Sunday.
