Ride the West event at Running Y Ranch

KLAMATH FALLS, OR — Cascade Horseman magazine will again be sponsoring Ride the West, it’s annual Trail Ride and Campout. This year, the event will take place at the picturesque Running Y Ranch, located just outside Klamath Falls, OR, July 11-13.
Participants should plan to arrive at the campgrounds the afternoon of Friday, July 11. Registration will begin at 12:00 noon. Things will kick off with dinner and a Poker Ride, benefitting the Cascade Magazine’s Youth Scholarship Fund, Friday night.
Saturday will get things started with breakfast. Then riders have the choice of an all-day trail ride, along with a boxed lunch; a half-day ride; or hay and wagon rides.
After spending time on the trail, hungry riders will eat their fill at the Saturday night dinner, followed by a bonfire and dancing. Entertainment will be provided by the Lance Zimmerman Band from Medford, OR.
After another hearty breakfast on Sunday, it’s time to break camp, pack up and go home.
Catering for all the meals will be provided by Wubba’s BBQ, Klamath Falls.
In addition to the rides, food and fun, Running Y Ranch offers a wide range of amenities and activities for participants to enjoy. Perfect your golf or tennis games, take part in a number of water activities including kayaking, boating and fly-fishing or while away the afternoon at their full-service spa. Additional charges for activities do apply.
Cascade Horseman is also offering special incentives to those who register early for Ride the West. Sign up by May 10, 2008 and not only save $15.00 off the standard registration rate of $175.00, but everyone who registered by that time will also be entered to win a $200.00 gas card – now that’s something everyone can use in these days of skyrocketing gas prices!
