Spotlight on Equestrian Centers Around the World

Anyone that has spent any time in the show arena has been to at least one or two really outstanding equestrian centers. The type of center that makes you take notice. Nowadays, they have equestrian centers that span the globe and offer a wide variety of services and offerings. You can board your horse, take a class, and participate in show events if the center is large enough. Many have even started offering events and services for the younger generation, and some even offer spa treatments for equestrian lovers. The sky is the limit when it comes to todayís modern equestrian centers, so in honor of that, we wanted to take the time this month to spotlight just a few of these amazing establishments.

Centers in North America

North America is full of some really spectacular equestrian centers, and they really know how to pamper their clientele.

Our first spotlight is on the LA Equestrian Center in Los Angeles, California. This modern marvel is 75 acres large with a world-class horse show complex featuring many breeds and disciplines at 45 equestrian events a year, over 500 boarding stalls, 17 horse trainers, a tack shop and equestrian gift shop, and various food and beverage banquet facilities. Their show complex is a real crowd pleaser. It features a deluxe 3,500 fixed-seat arena that features a beautiful pavilion complex and artistically landscaped fields.

Our second North American equestrian center is located on the East coast. The Boston Equestrian Center is well known for its various training programs and boarding facilities. They offer courses in Hunt Seat/Equitation as well as Dressage. The center also offers weekend clinics for those looking to improve their riding knowledge or start off slow. Throw in cross country riding services, breeding facilities, and you have a center that is a must see.

Our last spotlight in North America comes from Katy, TX. The Great Southwest Equestrian Center is the largest dedicated horse show facility in Texas with four covered arenas, five outdoor arenas, stalls for up to 1,000 horses, and two separate show areas. The main show complex seats over 4000, has concession stands, offices, and has a 5000 square feet Arena Club which overlooks the indoor and outdoor arenas.

UK

When we move over to the other side of the pond, we get a whole other class of equestrian centers and services.

The Checkendon Equestrian Center has something for everyone on their 38 acre property. For the four legged guests, they offer training, competition facilities, boarding, and equine therapy. Your horse can work one-on-one with a horse walker or take a swim in the therapeutic pool. They even offer a tens machine and an equissage pad to keep your horse in top form. For the two legged guests, they offer a coffee shop, on staff masseuse, beauty treatments, and even a yoga room. The younger horse enthusiasts can take part in the weekend pony club as well.

Explore For Yourself

If you are lucky enough to have an equestrian center in your area, you are urged to have a look around and see what they have to offer. There are so many hidden gems out there, waiting to be discovered. And remember, even if an equestrian center has a smaller facility, it doesnít mean that they donít offer first class services and classes. Many of the smaller centers offered the most in terms of amenities and programs.

Have fun exploring the world of equestrian centers.
