Wellington, FL – July 15, 2005 -Stadium Jumping, Inc., which produces the world-class National Horse Show and Winter Equestrian Festival, recently participated in the Meetings Planners International pre-conference, “VIP-24-Hours: “The Best of Everything,” Palm Beach-style at the Palm Beach Convention Center on Saturday, July 9.
“It was a wonderful opportunity for the Winter Equestrian Festival to promote itself as a unique equestrian venue to decision makers from all over the world,” said Gene Mische, founder of Stadium Jumping, Inc. “For many of the guests, it was their first time seeing a horse up close and learning about the sport. Teaching everyone about the different disciplines, that they are accessible to everyone, is a key ingredient to our large, enthusiastic crowds.”
The elite professional organization of Meetings Planners International descended on South Florida for their annual conference from July 10-12 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
International meeting planners and guests were entertained by a gallery of memorable, highly interactive signature vignettes, including signature jumps, tack, trophies and a plethora of information about the sport. Arriving guests entered the Convention Center with impressive fanfare, as dramatic divas from the Palm Beach Opera perform arias from famous acclaimed operas as they sipped champagne and enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres.
The 122nd National Horse Show & Family Festival is being held for the fourth consecutive year at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington. The six-day show is expecting more than 500 of the nation’s top horses as hunters, equitation riders, jumpers, and dressage riders will compete for more than half a million dollars in prize money.
The Winter Equestrian Festival kicks off in Wellington at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club on January 25, 2006, with eight weeks of back-to-back horse shows through March 19. It will then move to Tampa for two weeks at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center, and close with the Budweiser American Invitational on April 2 at the Raymond James Stadium.
Most of the recent U.S. Olympic riders will be competing in the 2006 season, including Beezie Madden, Chris Kappler, McLain Ward, Margie Engle, Laura Kraut, Norman Dello Joio, and Lauren Hough.
The Palm Beaches and Wellington have long been the international winter home of the equestrians. The National Horse Show and the Winter Equestrian Festival are held at a perfect venue for large groups who want to experience the sport of show jumping up close, according to Mische. Groups will be able to watch a competition in the privacy of the VIP tent or they can set up a private demonstration, according to Mische. WEF provides catering, at an added cost, to enhance the experience.
