First Annual PBIEC Welcome Party Friday Featuring Match Race, Live Band
The first annual welcome party featuring a match race of top jumper riders, a live band, family fun and a catered dinner for exhibitors is being held Friday, Jan. 25 at 6 P.M. to celebrate the start of the CN Winter Equestrian Festival presented by Zimmerman Advertising at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Festival.
All exhibitors, families, trainers and grooms are invited to the party sponsored by Zimmerman Advertising.
Equestrian Sport Productions, LLC Chief Executive Office Mark Bellissimo said it will be both a welcome to exhibitors to the spectacular PBIEC show grounds and a thank you for their patience while work is being completed.
Entertainment highlights include:
- A demonstration match race between 16 invited top Grand Prix riders who will be paid an appearance fee;
- Entertainment by the six-member David John & the Max Band;
- Family fun including jugglers and face painting, and
- Dinner prepared by the Equestrian Club Tavern on the Green with free drinks.
A special "treat" will be a public appearance by Hildegarde Frostbite who can be dunked in a pool for a contribution of $5 to be donated to the U.S. Equestrian Federation. ESP will match the contributions to the USEF.
The riders scheduled to start in the match race of six jumps at 1.30 meters are: Kent Farrington, Georgina Bloomberg, Jimmy Torano, Ali Nilforushan, Todd Minikus, Rodrigo Pessoa, McLain Ward, Brianne Goutal, Darragh Kerins, Lauren Hough, Ian Millar, Laura Kraut, Eric Lamaze, Eliza Shuford, Candice King and Norman Dello Joio.
