2009 Showplace Spring Spectacular Horse Show

2009 Showplace Spring Spectacular Horse Show Showplace Productions' Spring Spectacular Horse Shows begins competition June 2, and runs through Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, Illinois. The horse show will feature many classes for hunters and jumpers, offering more than $350,000 in prize money over two weeks.

The feature open jumper events include the $30,000 and $50,000 Grand Prix classes, held on each Saturday afternoon. The grand prix features two rounds of exciting action, with only the best horses and riders advancing to the jump-off round, where speed is the deciding factor. Open Jumpers can also compete in the $10,000 Welcome Stake classes held each Thursday. The two Saturday grand prix events are the Olympic sport of show jumping.
