Hambletonian Festival of Racing

Hambletonian Festival of Racing CBS Broadcast – 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. -- The 81st edition of harness racing’s premier event, the $1.5 million Hambletonian, will be broadcast live on CBS Sports for the 13th consecutive year. Broadcast time for the Hambletonian and its companion event, the $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks, is 2 to 3 p.m. [EDT] on August 5. The Hambletonian remains the only harness race to be nationally televised by one of the four major networks. The classic trotting race is celebrating 25 years at the Meadowlands, which has held the event since 1981. Hosting the show will be Gary Seibel, who will be joined by analysts Caton Bredar, Jay Privman and Hall of Fame harness trainer Ron Gurfein. Ken Warkentin will call the race.
