Equestrian News Release
East Freehold, NJ –August 17- The 110th Monmouth County Horse Show hosts a community event that offers an eclectic array of activities for riders and spectators. The competition, shopping, unique catering, and inviting barn set ups create an ambience of both excitement and relaxation. Riders can take a break from the ring to peruse vendor stands that meet equestrian and non-equestrian needs.
Paul Miller Automotive, one of Monmouth County Horse Show’s principal sponsors, displays some of the newest models of luxury vehicles near the show ring. This elite car dealership, located in Edison, New Jersey, offers cars and sports-utility vehicles from Saab, Sweden’s top automotive manufacturer, and the British Land Rover.
Need new field boots? The specialty store Der Dau, another proud sponsor of the Monmouth County Horse Show, designs custom-made boots and shoes to fit your taste and feet. Offering new trends and patterns from a variety of leather, riders can choose from more traditional styles to funky snakeskin, bright pink, or wing-tipped designs. Der Dau’s selection of field boots, half-chaps, paddock boots, and every day shoes offer the very best in leather footwear. Check out some other Der Dau merchandise at http://www.derdau.com.
Not far from any horse lover is his or her dog, which is why the store “All Paws” was created. From hip new collars to fluffy toys, this distinctive canine shop has necessities for all shapes, sizes, and hair dos! Pamper your best friend with “Bad Hair Day Dog Shampoo” or go natural with environmentally friendly organic shampoos and conditioners. This “gourmet pet store” supplies chew toys, grooming products, dog beds, portable dog bowls, and more. Just look for the giant paw printed sign!
All horse products, equestrian wear, tack, and grooming supplies can be found at on-site tack stores, such as B & B Saddlery and The Tack Shelter. Specialty saddles are available at CWD Sellier France, while Pennfield Feed offers informative brochures, samples, and purchasable bags of feed at their stand. Photographs of riders and their horses, as well as candid shots taken throughout the day, are available for viewing at Randi Muster’s gallery, “MustPhoto.”
Beautiful oil paintings are on display at artist Ellen A. Gavin’s Green Boots Studio, Inc. A rider herself, Gavin once competed here at the Monmouth County Horse Show and captures the mood of competition in her equine art. Gavin was chosen as one of the featured artists for the upcoming 122nd National Horse Show and Family Festival in Wellington, Florida. For the fashion-oriented spectators, “The Mixed Bag: Preppie Clothes and Accessories” provides chic additions to any woman’s wardrobe. This voguish collection includes headbands, beaded bracelets, initialed necklaces, cell phone cases, and flip-flops. Rain boots, denim jackets, sunglasses, and sunhats can prepare any modish rider for the elements, along with fashionable jeans and belts. Adjacent to The Mixed Bag is the Royal Boutique, which customizes bracelets and baseball hats with crystal horse shoes and letters. Spell out your pony’s name or even your own with these popular jewels.
Sponsors for the Monmouth County Horse Show can enjoy a table in the hospitality tent, which provides excellent lunches, beverages, and complementary breakfast. Food is also available to exhibitors from David’s World Famous Inc., whose catering includes an assortment of sandwiches and smoothies. Try a “fried Oreo” at the funnel cake stand or cool down with a milkshake at Twisty Treat’s ice cream. Rumor has it that Elvis works there!
The Monmouth County Horse Show is truly a community event that offers something for the entire family. Children can enjoy pony rides and face painting over the weekend as top equestrian riders and horses compete for top honors.
