The 123rd National Horse Show & Family Festival Kicks Off

Wellington, FL – April 12, 2006 – The 123rd National Horse Show & Family Festival “Official Artist” competition is now underway for artists interested in keeping tradition alive. At the annual National Horse Show, an “Official Artist” is selected to re-create the original poster from 1922 and design party invitations to the black tie gala, “Jumping Under the Stars.” This year’s show will be held at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington, Florida from November 29-December 3, 2006.
“It is time to bring in the best and brightest artists from around the country to compete for the honor of the ‘Official Artist’,” said Elizabeth Hedley of Stadium Jumping, Inc. “We look forward to hearing from the applicants and viewing their unique artwork.”
This year’s winning artist will receive top billing from the 123rd National Horse Show & Family Festival’s public relations firm, Phelps Media Group, Inc. International, and a 10x10 booth to exhibit and sell their work at the show in the newly created Artist's Courtyard. The artist also receives invitations to all exclusive parties during the National Horse Show, and the honor of becoming the "Official Artist” for one of our nation’s most recognized and prestigious equestrian competitions. Previous winners include such talents as Rollin McGrail and Heidi Osgood-Metcalf.
