determined – the 2007 Miss Rodeo America, Ashley Andrews, has it all.

During Andrew’s reign as Miss Rodeo North Dakota, she was diagnosed with
Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After receiving six months of chemotherapy
treatments, she was given a clean bill of health to compete in the 2007
Miss Rodeo America pageant. She has taken on this experience with a
positive attitude and used it to benefit others. Her efforts have helped
raise over $1 million toward cancer research and promote awareness
through organizations such as Relay for Life, the North Dakota Cancer
Coalition, the Lance Armstrong Foundation, the Ronald McDonald House and
the American Cancer Society.

leadership and sportsmanship for the equine industry, the sport of

Andrews captured the coveted crown after a weeklong competition
featuring 28 contestants from across the country at the 52nd Annual Miss
Rodeo America Pageant, held at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas
last December. During 2007, this senior at the University of Mary in
Bismark will travel over a 100,000 miles making appearances at rodeos,
tradeshows, schools, hospitals and PR events. She has spoken to the
American Quarter Horse Association and worked to promote professional
rodeos and the western way of life.
