Catch All the Action of the 2007 Polo Season in Palm Beach

Wellington, FL – January 12, 2007 – Six teams are scheduled to open the international polo season in Palm Beach on Sunday, January 14, including superstar player Adolfo Cambiaso for pre-tournament favorites New Bridge La Dolfina. Dubbed the Tiger Woods of the polo world, Cambiaso became the youngest ever 10-goaler (the sport’s maximum rating) in 1993 at the age of 17. For the first time in the club’s history, this five-time winner of the U.S. Open, the Argentinian is slated to play for the entire season.

Joined by a wealth of talented players, including Matias Magrini, Martin Valent, and patron Russ McCall, New Bridge La Dolfina will present a formidable challenge to Pony Express, led by eight-goaler Nicolas Roldan, when they go head to head at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The opening game at 10:00 will see Skeeterville vs. Gracida International followed at noon by Audi vs. Lechuza Caracas.

An amalgamation between Phelps Media Group Inc., International and HorseSource Ltd., PMG Pictures was launched in August 2006 by equestrian public relations entrepreneur Mason Phelps Jr., and world-renowned equestrian photographer Peter Llewellyn. With its on-line, custom-built searchable database, PMG Pictures provides an efficient, fast-track shopping service to magazines, newspapers, editors, picture researchers, book publishers, calendar companies, advertising agencies…. To access images for instant download, clients simply need to open an account in advance by e-mailing: sales@pmgpictures.com

Typically, photographs are available for daily download from all events a few hours after the action concludes.

Since its launch, the PMG Pictures roster has expanded to include 16 world-class photographers, and Vice President Peter Llewellyn confirms that interest continues to grow. “PMG Pictures offers a sound solution to professional freelance photographers who can now enjoy the freedom to practice their art. I am always interested in speaking to people and absorbing new collections under the PMG Pictures banner because it affords us the opportunity to present new material and additional creative concepts to existing and future clients.”

In addition to the on-line purchase of equestrian imagery, knowledgeable staff members at PMG Pictures are also available to assist with any other needs, such as picture research and special assignments.

Peter Llewellyn will himself be attending the opening games of the season at the International Polo Club Palm Beach this coming Sunday.
