Agassi Foundation Kids to Experience National Horse Show
Equestrian News Release
LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 31, 2006 -- More than 300 children from the charter school of the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation (AACF) will attend the Celebration of the Pure Spanish Horse on Saturday, September 2, at the South Coast Equestrian Event Center. The donated tickets were underwritten by the host South Coast Hotel and by the P.R.E. Foundation, a worldwide advocacy group that promotes this unique breed of horses.
While the annual show is making its second appearance here in Las Vegas, this will mark the first opportunity for the AACF youth to view these majestic animals up close and to watch them compete and demonstrate their skills. The day will be highlighted with a 7:00 PM theatre production, featuring equine star "Shadowfax" from the motion picture "Lord of the Rings."
The P.R.E. Foundation selected Las Vegas to host its annual show because of the city's mass appeal and penchant for drawing equestrian owners and families. "Our resolve over the years has been to expose the Pure Spanish horse not only to equestrian enthusiasts, but to the general public as well," said Mary Adams, Executive Director of the P.R.E. "The Pure Spanish is a rare breed here in America, so our show is designed to promote their incredible beauty, kind nature and amazing athletic ability," Adams concluded.
