Introducing the 2007 BC and Alberta Horse Community Guides

SIDNEY, BC – The publishers of THE CANADIAN HORSE JOURNAL, Canada’s favourite general interest magazine, are pleased to introduce two new provincial horse industry directories for 2007: BC’s HORSE COMMUNITY GUIDE, and ALBERTA’S HORSE COMMUNITY GUIDE.

Many horse people in Canada are familiar with The Horse Industry Guide annual directory which we have published for the past eight years on behalf of Horse Council BC (HCBC), and more recently with the involvement of the Alberta Equestrian Federation. HCBC recently announced that it will not publish its industry guide for 2007, and will make significant changes for their 2008 edition to refocus it as non-commercial directory and that in future editions, “No advertising will be sold..”

To continue providing service to the dedicated Guide advertisers and the enthusiastic reading audience we have developed over the past eight years, Horse Community Journals Inc. has created two provincially-focused annual directories - Consumers’ Guides to the Horse Industry - for publication starting in 2007: BC’s Horse Community Guide, and Alberta’s Horse Community Guide.

These new Horse Community Guides will be published and managed exclusively by Horse Community Journals Inc., and we are pleased to announce several exciting improvements:

w The BC and Alberta Horse Community Guides will be separate annual provincial directories starting in 2007;

w Our Guides will be published in the convenient, full size, glossy magazine format readers demand - for ease-of-use and longer lifespan;

w Editorial content of each Guide will be specially created for the BC and Alberta horse industries, and focused on the horse community of its home province;

w Advertising in the Guide Marketplace will be featured in BOTH the Alberta and BC editions at no extra charge. This means advertisers will reach the combined circulation of both Guides equaling the largest directory readership in Canada, thanks to our "Advertise Once - Get TWICE the Coverage!" concept;

w Distribution will include the 11,000 members of the Alberta Equestrian Federation, all subscribers to Pacific & Prairie Horse Journal including HCBC-member subscribers, subscribers to The Canadian Horse Journal across Western Canada, trade shows and popular industry outlets for a reading audience of approximately 90,000;

w An Early Bird Discount of 10% is currently offered for advertising booked by January 15, 2007.

w Advertising Deadline is January 31, 2007. Release date: March 2007.
