EquiFit, Inc. President Alexandra Cherubini Wins Hunter Championship at Winter Equestrian Festival

Wellington, FL – February 27, 2007 – Alexandra Cherubini, President of EquiFit, Inc., is a young entrepreneur of a successful company who finds time to compete her horses at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida. This past week at the Bainbridge Florida Classic/WCHR Spectacular, Cherubini rode Good Night and Good Luck to the championship in the Adult Amateur 18-35 Hunters.

Good Night and Good Luck, an eight-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding, was imported less than a year ago from Europe, where he was a jumper. His beautiful style and looks brought him to the hunter ring with Cherubini. They have been in the ribbons every week, but "it clicked this week," Cherubini said. "He felt great. All of the work that we’ve been doing leading up to this has paid off."

Cherubini rides with Jimmy Toon at JT Farm of South Salem, NY, and Wellington, FL. Toon has been showing "Omar" in the First Year Green Hunters as well for more experience in the show ring. "He’s getting better and better each week," Cherubini pointed out. "He’s really getting into the hunter groove."

Cherubini and Omar won two classes and were second and sixth on their way to the championship ribbon. They were also awarded the Grand Adult Hunter Championship on her horse, Good Night and Good Luck. The horse’s groom, Emilio Lopez, won the Mia Palambella Memorial Award donated by Lyman Whitehead and Lucy Mitchell-Innes.

"Emilio was so thrilled," Cherubini related. "That made it all worthwhile to see him get the award with me. It was awesome that they had awards for the grooms at the Hunter Classic Spectacular. It’s great to acknowledge all of their hard work in getting horses to the ring."

Cherubini plans to show next week in the Amateur-Owner 18-35 Hunters, in which the jumps are set at 3’6". It’s a different division that Cherubini looks forward to excelling in.

Cherubini is the President of EquiFit, Inc., a company that provides innovative products to help both the horse and rider. EquiFit, Inc.’s new line of silver-based products for equines, which include the AgSilver CleanBalm, CleanGel, CleanTalc and CleanWash, incorporate the same silver ion technology currently available in their SilverClene24 spray, which offers a non-toxic way to kill viruses, fungi and bacteria.
