Top International Horses and Riders at 122nd National Horse Show & Family Festival
WELLINGTON, FL – November 7, 2005 – For the fourth consecutive year, “Zada Enterprises, LLC Dressage at the National” will be presented at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington, Florida. The dressage competition will take place December 2-4, 2005, in conjunction with the 122nd National Horse Show & Family Festival, which runs from November 29-December 4, featuring top-ranked show jumpers. The dressage competition will be showcased in two rings with more than 100 of the country’s best dressage horses and riders vying for over $7,000 in prize money and awards. Highlighting the competition schedule is a stellar roster of international Grand Prix competitors including Arlene “Tuney” Page with her two brilliant horses – Claire and Wild One; Karin Reid Offield and her magnificent stallions – Hexagon's Louisville and Reuters Tiamo Trocadero; Lisette Milner with her spectacular Eminence; and Jan Brons with his outstanding Jordan.
Two dressage rings will be in action all three days of the 4th Annual Zada Enterprises, LLC Dressage at the National. Competitors will exhibit horses in a range of classes from Training Level through Grand Prix, including the popular Musical Freestyles, which will be the highlight of the final day of the show, Sunday, December 4. Categories for exhibitors include Adult Amateurs, Juniors, Young Riders, and Open. The event draws some of the nation’s most talented riders in every category and offers qualifying classes at every level of competition for the GAIG/USDF (Great American Insurance Group / United States Dressage Federation) Regional Championships.
Judging horses and riders will be a renowned panel of officials: Major General Jonathan ‘Jack’ R. Burton (S) of Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Colonel A. R. Kitts (S) of Newville, Pennsylvania; and Gary Rockwell (C) of Wellington, Florida. The show manager is Klaus Fraessdorf of Altamonte Springs, Florida.
Eugene Mische’s Stadium Jumping, Inc. is once again the producer of the 4th Annual Zada Enterprises, LLC Dressage at the National. Stadium Jumping’s dressage director, Show Secretary Mary Silcox, has been heading up Zada Enterprises, LLC Dressage at the National since its inception. “We all owe a big ‘thank-you’ to Joe Zada for sponsoring the show for another year,” said Silcox. “It keeps growing and continues to attract some of the topmost horses and riders in the sport. It is through Joe’s generosity that we’ve been able to offer such a fabulous event at the National Horse Show.”
In addition to the competition, the 4th Annual Zada Enterprises, LLC Dressage at the National also features all of the first-rate festivities associated with the 122nd National Horse Show & Family Festival, including the black tie gala "Jumping Under the Stars" (December 2, evening); the Children's Fair (December 3-4, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.), and the art exhibit "The Horse: In & Out" (November 30-December 4, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
