ApHc Names Medallion earning Appaloosas in Trail and Distance

MOSCOW, Idaho—The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) Trail and Distance Department is pleased to announce the 2008 recipients of the 350-mile bronze medallions. Distance medallions are awarded annually to the Appaloosas completing 350 miles in open competitive and endurance rides. Double miles are awarded to Appaloosa that is named “Best Condition,” which is awarded to the horse deemed most physically fit to continue by the veterinarian in an endurance ride. Double miles will also be given to the Appaloosa that receives the most points in a competitive trail ride.

The following Appaloosas were awarded the 350-mile bronze medallion for 2008:

Fourmile’s Kuna owned by Lisa Delp of Westminister, Md.

Endurance Riding-720 miles (double miles awarded)

SF Lottie Brown owned by Rosalee Bradley of Janesville, Calif.

Endurance Riding-550 miles

Chelsea Color Bee owned by Judy Long of Hayward, Calif.

Endurance Riding-475 miles

LT Brightpatch Joker owned by Mary Patricia Harrop of Knoxville, Tenn.

Endurance Riding-465 miles

Chelsea Image Bee owned by Carol Ann Beckner of Modoc, Ind.

Endurance Riding-355 miles

Endurance Riding-350 miles (double miles awarded)

RR Roman Scooter owned by Barbara Gardner of Oakfield, Wis.

Competitive Trail Riding-495 miles (double miles awarded)

These Appaloosas will be honored at the 2008 Year-end Open/Non-pro Banquet held in conjunction with the 62nd National Appaloosa Show/2009 World Championship Appaloosa Youth Show in Jackson, Miss., June 22-July 4, 2009.
