MOSCOW, Idaho—The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) is pleased to announce Appaloosa stallion, DZ Weedo, has earned the honor of being replicated as an equine model by Breyer Animal Creations! The DZ Weedo-inspired Breyer model will be released in spring of this year.

DZ Weedo, known as “Odie”, is owned by Doug and Sue Schembri of Char-O-Lot Ranch in Myakka City, Fla. The 1994 blanketed buckskin has made his name is the Western show ring as a multiple national and world champion in Western Riding and trail competitions. DZ Weedo has earned 169 ApHC performance points, register of merits in trail and western pleasure, and a bronze medallion in junior trail. He was named the 1998 ApHC World Champion in senior western riding, 1997 ApHC National Reserve Champion in Ladies’ Western Pleasure and 3-year-old Snaffle Bit Western Pleasure.

The offspring of the Oklahoma-bred Appaloosa are just as impressive as DZ Weedo himself. His offspring have won several national and world championships, as well as eight bronze medallions in racing, 1050 performance points and 304 halter points.
