Atlanta Summer Classic II Update

We had a great second week. BIG Congrats and thanks to Outback Steakhouse, Becky Miles and Robbi Meisel for all their months efforts to produce an outstanding charity dinner and fund raiser for Old Friends, a thoroughbred retirement facility based in Georgetown, KY.
Horses Helping Horses and the Weekend of Giving was great combined event. Robbi reported the silent auction was wonderful and the tables for the Outback Steakhouse dinner were sold out!
For me one of the highlights was "MicK" a retired race horse that fell on bad times and was "saved" by the charity. The horse was braided and slick and looked like a million dollars as he walked down the length of the dinner tent for all the spectators to see the results of TLC and Old Friends can do.
Although we do not know the total dollars raised at the time,I am sure this single weekend of giving will be a big help for the horses.
-The $25,000 Outback Steakhouse Grand Prix was won by Sergio Campos aboard Shakira Do Jacare.
-The winner of the 5th Annual Classic Trainers Medal was Steve Heinecke.
-The winner of the Classic Pony Equitation Championship was Emma Kennedy, trained by Heather Tinney

Remember, July 3rd is the closing date for Biltmore and we need your stall counts. The stalls will start going up on July 5th!
One more thing, the Tyon Fall Classic prize list is online and will be mailed around the 15th of July. Stalls go quick for this show.
