Wellington, FL – February 15, 2006 – Today marks the first day of the Bainbridge Florida Classic presented by the Palm Beach Post. The horse show is the fourth week of the 2006 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), held at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club on Pierson Road in Wellington, Florida, and will continue through Sunday, February 19. The show is the most important week for the hunters as a World Championship Hunter Rider qualifying show and also hosts a World Cup Qualifying Grand Prix for show jumpers.
The title sponsor of the week is The Bainbridge Companies LLC. CEO and President Richard Schechter of Wellington, FL, is pleased to support the horse show and is an avid equestrian himself. As owner of Bainbridge Farm, Schechter has horses that compete in the Adult Amateur Hunters, Pre-Green Hunters, and Pony Hunters.
