Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center Celebrity Bartending Declared a Success

Wellington, FL – January 23, 2007 – With a turnout of about 100 people and numerous trays of fruity JELL-O shots, a good time was had by all at the celebrity bartending event to benefit Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center at Wellington Golf & Country Club.

Several “celebrity” equestrians, including Arlene “Tuny” Page and polo player Matias Magrini, showed off their drink mixing talents behind the bar. Vinceremos executive director Ruth Menor also joined the equestrians behind the bar to try her hand at shaking and stirring along with renowned polo photographer David Lominska.

Page is a top dressage rider and a co-chair for the Vinceremos annual benefit, and Magrini is a 9-goal player from Argentina who plays for New Bridge.

Guests enjoyed a complimentary hors d’oeuvres buffet throughout the evening. Among the guests were the “Voice of Polo” Tony Coppola, USPA Director of Umpires Dave Offen, Jennifer Poor, Shane Winkler and Rick Sears.

Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center, based in Loxahatchee Groves, FL, is a nonprofit organization that provides recreational and therapeutic riding instruction to people of all ages with varying developmental, physical and psychological disabilities in an energetic and nurturing setting. The organization has assisted more than 1000 adults and children to gain a sense of accomplishment, greater independence and a higher quality of life.

VTRC has begun its largest fundraiser yet, the “Cover Our Kids” capital campaign, which is a three-phase initiative to build a covered riding arena, a new stable with office space to better serve clients, and a parking area. The organization’s annual fundraiser, the “Stars Unite” Benefit and Dinner Dance will be held on February 23, 2007, at the International Polo Club in Wellington, FL. The chairs of the benefit are Tuny Page, Cetty Weiss and grand prix rider Candice King.
