Bay Area Equestrian League Names 2006 Champions
Equestrian News Release
Woodside, California. The Bay Area Equestrian League has concluded its 2006 season and is presenting awards to champions in 23 different hunter/jumper sections and divisions. Sponsored by Shaw’s Saddlery (http://www.shawssaddlery.com), champions are receiving a $100 gift certificate from Shaw’s Saddlery, reserve champions receive a $60 gift certificate, and third place receives a $40 certificate. All of the gift certificate awards will be sent to all winners by early November.
The Bay Area Equestrian League seeks to encourage and reward hunter/jumper competitors showing in the San Francisco Bay Area. No membership is currently required, and all seven USEF “A” rated hunter/jumper shows at the Horse Park at Woodside counted toward the BAEL awards.
The 11 & Under Equitation was a close race between Caroline Albright and Morgan Garnett, with Albright earning top honors by just half a point. Perseus won both the Pre-Green and Low Children’s Hunter Sections. Owner Taylor Bradley rode to the top honors in the Low Children’s section, while Nancy Thomas took the reins in the Pre-green. Carpolo was another dual winner by capturing both the Modified Amateur Hunters and the Adult Amateur Hunters 36-49 with owner Lori Sheri.
Kelsey Maida and Loverboy led the pack in the Children’s Jumpers, while Dream and Brianna Bettencourt finished 80 points ahead in the Adult Amateur Jumpers. Jennifer Morris piloted Secret to champion in the Low Child/Adult Jumpers
