Beacon Hill Show Stables Excels at 2007 Winter Equestrian Festival

Wellington, FL – March 5, 2007 – At the Zada Enterprises, LLC Wellington Masters, which was the sixth week of the Winter Equestrian Festival at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club, Beacon Hill Show Stables continued to come away with top ribbons in the hunter, jumper, and equitation rings. Beacon Hill Show Stables, which is owned and managed by head trainers Frank and Stacia Madden, is located in Colts Neck, NJ.

In the equitation arena, the blue ribbon of the Ariat Adult National Medal went to Lindsay Mohr for her ride aboard Allegro. Jessica Springsteen and Papillon 136 took home top honors in the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search after capturing second in the Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) Equitation Jumper Phase Section A and third in the WIHS Overall results. Maria Schaub spent time in the winner’s circle after her win with I Toon in the Pessoa USEF Hunter Seat Medal. Schaub also earned fourth in the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search, fourth in the WIHS Hunter Phase, and finished eighth in the WIHS Overall.

Chelsea Moss piloted Logan to second place in the WIHS Jumper Phase Section B and third in the WIHS Hunter Phase to finish third overall. Other competitors in the WIHS included Carolyn Curcio, who rode Valvert and finished fifth in the Hunter Phase and seventh Overall, and Jacqueline Lubrano, who received fourth in the Jumper Phase and fifth Overall for her rides on LB Carte Noir. Curcio also pinned third in the ASPCA Maclay, and Lubrano took sixth in the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search behind Whitney Goulart, who finished second.

In the Pessoa USEF Hunter Seat Medal, Laura King-Kaplan and Versace picked up fifth, and Hilary McNerney ranked fourth with Timeless in the ASPCA Maclay. Goulart and Burgunder earned second in the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search, and Moss also rode Onatello VDL in the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search and won seventh place.

In the jumper ring, Brianne Goutal and Onira had an impressive fourth place finish in the $100,000 Zada Enterprises, LLC Masters Cup, CSI-W. Goutal also earned third with Mon Gamin in the 1.30m class, and Max Amaya, who is an assistant trainer at Beacon Hill Show Stables, won ninth with Sarah Becker’s horse Church Road in the Acorn Hill Farm Speed Series Section A.

In the Amateur-Owner Jumpers, Kalinero and Goulart were pinned sixth in the Medium A-O class, and Nicole Lakin took fifth with Alaska in the Low A-O Jumpers. The High Junior Jumpers presented Jessica Springsteen and La Movida with second in the classic and Marga and Maria Schaub with sixth place. Earlier in the week, Marga and Schaub won sevenths in the High Junior Jumper Power and Speed. In the Children’s Jumper 14-17 Classic, AK Mickey and Mackenzie Keck finished in the ribbons with sixth place.

In the hunter rings, Serendipity and Mary Alexis Healey won first, third, fourth, two fifths, and the reserve championship in the Adult Amateur 18-35 Hunters, and Christina Lin piloted Moriah to two fifths and a seventh in the Large Junior 15 and Under Hunters.

In the Children’s Hunter divisions, Catherine Avolese and Gotham City won first, fifth, sixth, and reserve champion in the Children’s 14 and Under Hunters, and Olivia Clancy rode Graffiti in the Children’s 15-17 Hunters and won first, fifth, sixth, and the reserve championship. Another reserve championship was awarded to Kristin Mohr and Peter Pan in the Children’s Large Pony Hunters after Mohr won a first, third, and fifth, and Ireland Clancy and Fidelity took home the reserve championship in the Short Stirrup Hunters for her first, fifth, and eight place wins.

Beacon Hill Show Stables will compete next at the CN Wellington Open CSIO 5*, which will be held at the Winter Equestrian Festival from March 7-11, 2007.
