Beacon Hill Show Stables Concludes Successful Season at Winter Equestrian Festival

Schaub Captures Tricolor with E L Raymond in Junior Hunters

Wellington, FL – April 9, 2007 – Beacon Hill Show Stables wrapped up their final week of Winter Equestrian Festival competition at the Tournament of Champions in Tampa, FL. Beacon Hill, which is owned and operated by head trainers Frank and Stacia Madden, received innumerable top ribbons and division tricolors throughout the season.

This past week, Maria Schaub piloted E L Raymond for Abigail Quirk Cooper in the Small Junior 16-17 Hunters and captured the division tricolor. The duo earned two blue ribbons, two second places, and a sixth for the championship, and Schaub also took third and fifth place ribbons with Fernwalk, a catch-ride that she showed for Don Stewart.

Jessica Springsteen and Sublime took home top ribbons as well in the Small Junior 15 and Under Hunters. The pair received a first, a fourth, and two fifth places. They also earned the reserve circuit championship for the Winter Equestrian Festival after tallying the second highest number of points for the division. Springsteen competed with Tiziano this past week in the Large Junior 15 and Under Hunters, and they came away with second and sixth places. They also won the reserve championship for the WEF circuit in the Large Junior 15 and Under Hunter division.

Brighton Day Glo and Olivia Fass continued their winning ways in the Large Children’s Hunter Pony division, and they collected two firsts, a second, two thirds, and the reserve championship. In addition, Brighton Day Glo won the WEF reserve circuit championship for the Large Children’s Pony Hunters.

In the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search, Schaub finished in second with I Toon, and Carolyn Curcio took third aboard Valvert. Springsteen pinned fifth with Papillon 136, and Chelsea Moss rode Logan to seventh place.

Curcio finished third overall in the Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) equitation class, with Springsteen following in sixth and Moss ranking in eighth. Also in the equitation arena, Hillary McNerney rode to fourth in the ASPCA Maclay with her horse Skyy.

Schaub galloped for fourth place honors in the $10,000 High Junior Jumper Classic aboard Marga, and Springsteen rode well for a sixth place finish with La Movida. Earlier in the week, Springsteen won top honors with her mount in the High Junior Jumper Power & Speed and was presented the reserve championship for the division.

In the $5,000 Low Junior Jumper Classic, Chelsea Moss and Lorena 90 received fourth place, and Springsteen took seventh with her jumper Action. In the Adult Amateur Jumper Classic, Hayley Carlson topped the leader board with T Naralda for a blue ribbon finish.
