Over the Hill Farm Dominates Competition at Biltmore Summer Classic Horse Show

Ashville, NC - July 23, 2007 - Over the Hill Farm went to the mountains of North Carolina to compete at the Biltmore Summer Classic Horse Show last week, July 18-22, 2007. The show was a 'World Championship Hunter Rider' sanctioned show, and the Over the Hill riders, led by Bill Schaub of Sanford, FL, brought home 11 tricolor ribbons.

Shawn Casady of Kingston, TN, was the star pony rider of the week. On Unexpected, owned by Jimmy and Danielle Torano, he was champion in the Medium Pony Hunters. He also took the reserve championship in the Medium Ponies on Kathleen Mahoney's Dark Star. Dark Star and Casady won the Medium Pony Hunter Classic and won the reserve champion 'Medium Grand Kahuna Pony' award. On First Impression, owned by Katie Dinan LLC, Casady was reserve champion in the Medium Green Pony Hunters and won the reserve 'Small/Medium Green Grand Kahuna Pony' award. He and Anne Gardner's Showboat were reserve champions in the Large Pony Hunters and won the champion 'Large Grand Kahuna Pony' award.

Professional rider Daniel Geitner rode Lee Cesery's Couverture in the Green Conformation Hunters. They won the model, all over fences and the under saddle class for a total of 55 points, which gave them the championship in the division. On Cachet, another Cesery-owned entry, Geitner was champion in the Special Hunter 3' division.

Over the Hill assistant trainer and rider Molly Sewell rode Between Dreams for Lauren Hogan of Tampa, FL to the reserve championship in the First Year Green Hunters. On Monaco, owned by Sophie Read of Lake Mary, FL, Sewell was the reserve champion in the Pre-Green 3'3" Hunters. Read took over the ride on Monaco and finished as champion in the Children's 14 & Under Hunters.

Lauren Hogan took up the reins on Cedar Springs Pen Pal, owned by Tyler Greene, to win the championship in the Large Pony Hunters. On Blew By You, she won every Children's Jumper class and took the championship in the division.

Over the Hill Farm will compete next at the Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show in North Carolina on August 1-12, 2007.
