Breyerfest Brings Top Equine Entertainers to Horse Park

(Lexington, Ky., July 26, 2006) – Breyer® Animal Creations®’s BreyerFest® kicks off this weekend with its Summer Carnival-themed event that will bring thousands of collectors and horse lovers together for a weekend that is the ultimate expression of the intersection between the real world of horses and Breyer’s life-like model horses.
Held July 28-30 at the Kentucky Horse Park, Lexington, Ky., the 17th annual BreyerFest® features brother and sister ‘equine extremists” Tommie and Karen Turvey, author and trick training teacher Carole Fletcher, as well as former Olympian Belinda Wertman with Iron Spring Farm’s Friesian Goffert doing a dressage musical freestyle, a rare Cleveland Bay stallion Tregoyd Journeyman and two of the winningest miniature horses in America, LTD’s Red Cloud and Magic Man’s Grand Slam. The event will also feature two of the equine stars from DreamWork’s Dreamer: Inspired By A True Story and 20th Century Fox’s upcoming film Flicka (opens nationwide Oct. 20th).
BreyerFest also features a Trade Show, crafts and activities for children, pony rides, an exotic petting zoo, the world’s largest model horse shows, workshops and seminars and the chance to meet the guest horses and see other unique breeds up close.
For inspired model horse collectors, Breyer offers a beautiful herd of model horses that are available only at BreyerFest in the Breyer store. Breyer will also be taking orders for its new Barbaro model which will be available this October. Breyer will donate $10 from the sale of each model to the Barbaro Fund at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine’s New Bolton Center.
Tickets are available at the BreyerFest Ticket Window at the Kentucky Horse Park. Adults - $20; Children 7-12 - $10. Includes limited edition Stablemates® model Trixie. Three Day tickets also available: Adults - $80; Children 7-12 - $50. Includes limited edition Traditional model of Tommie Turvey’s Joker.
