Brianne Link of JT Farm Wins Championship and Classic at Sixth Week of WEF

Wellington, FL - February 16, 2009 - JT Farm competed at the sixth week of the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) and brought home a range of prizes. JT Farm, which has farms in Wellington, FL, and South Salem, NY, is led by trainer Jimmy Toon.

Brianne Link of East Islip, NY, had a great week of competition. She won the $2,500 NAL Florida Children's Hunter Classic with her new mount Silas V. They also won a class in the Children's Hunter 14 & Under Hunter division.

Toon found Silas V in Holland and imported him to the United States last September. The talented six-year-old gelding was sold to the Links soon thereafter. "They wanted him as soon as they saw him," Toon commented.

Link and Silas V competed at two indoors shows at Old Salem Farm before they came down to Florida, where they have been very competitive at WEF. In this past weekend's classic, the pair had the highest scores in both rounds, scoring an 87 in the first round and an 84 in the second round.

"Silas is green as a show hunter, but he's quite a good boy," Toon said. "They have a had a remarkable circuit so far."

Link rode Tallyman to the championship in the Pony Jumpers. They won the Time First Jump-Off and the Time First Round classes and placed sixth in the NAL Pony Jumper Classic. The top ribbons gave them the tricolor in the division.

On JT Farm's Black Diamond, Link placed second in the Low Children's Jumpers.

Taylor Kain and Charlie Brown, an up-and-coming equitation horse produced by Toon and owned by JT Farm, were fifth in the Pessoa USEF Hunt Seat Medal Section C and fifth in the ASPCA Maclay Section B. Kain also placed fifth in the WIHS Equitation hunter phase with Cayero, also owned by JT Farm, and eighth in the USEF Platinum Performance Show Jumping Talent Search, Section A.

Ellen Toon of JT Farm rode her horses Invincible and Attaché to good ribbons in the Amateur-Owner Hunter 36 and Over division. Toon and Invincible won a class in the division for the third week during the Winter Equestrian Festival.

Carolyn Lichtenberg showed JT Farm's I-Toon this week, placing eighth in the WIHS Equitation and fourth in the ASPCA Maclay class.

James Toon showed JT Farm's Prince placed well in the Level 2 Pre-Green Hunters in only their second week of showing.

JT Farm will compete next at the seventh week of WEF, from February 18-22, 2009.

At JT Farm, riders of all levels are welcome and are afforded the very best training by a staff of experienced, caring professionals who are committed to excellence in the show ring in equitation, hunters and jumpers. For more information on JT Farm, please visit http://www.jtfarm.com.
