62nd Buffalo International Horse Show Brings Tradition and Prizes to a Top Ranked Equestrian Event

Buffalo, NY - September 5 - The 62nd Buffalo International Horse Show (BIHS) is an important event equestrian show circuit history. Celebrating its 62nd year, this 'AA' rated show is one of the oldest in the country. The Buffalo International Horse Show combines the highest quality of competition together with the opportunity to raise money for a well-deserved cause.

More than just a horse show, it allows for exhibitors to compete and give back at the same time. They get to contribute to the sport that means so much to those involved in the equestrian community.

The BIHS is held on location at The Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center. The show is held each year to benefit the therapeutic program and facility. For the past five years, this program has greatly contributed to the physical, psychological, social and educational programs for children ages eight through 15-years-old with special needs.

Unlike other highly ranked equestrian events where classes cater to those with more developed riding skills, BIHS has classes for everyone. In an effort to create an exciting atmosphere and fun opportunities, classics are offered from ponies to horses; there is even a grooms' class.

Everyone who is involved with the show has a chance to enjoy and join in on the festivities. On top of the classics and specialty classes, all are offered with substantial prize money, courtesy of loyal sponsors and exhibitors. Prize money ranges from $1,000 to $5,000. In addition to the prize money, wonderful prizes are also offered to winners.

When an exhibitor is presented with a championship award, it is one that they cherish. All trophies carry 62 years of history and tradition. Their names will join others that have gone on to be some of the top riders in the sport. Every trophy is a custom, hand-painted piece of art that is unique and special for those who receive one.

The BIHS is one of the highest levels of competition coupled with tradition. Exhibitors are offered a rare opportunity to compete at an 'AA' rated horse and give back to an equestrian program that helps so many. Individuals return back year after year for the competition, tradition, atmosphere, and much more.
