Cancellation of Wild Horse and Burro Adoption
Equestrian News Release
What: The Wild Horse and Burro (WH&B) Adoption in Decatur, Alabama has
been cancelled because of impacts from Hurricane Katrina.
When: The adoption was scheduled for September 02 - 04, 2005.
Who: The Bureau of Land Management, part of the U.S. Department of the
Interior, has cancelled this scheduled event.
Why: People who were scheduled to work this adoption were severely
impacted by damage from the storm.
Note: The next WH&B adoption in this area is scheduled for September 24-
25, 2005 in Clinton, Tennessee.
