Telluride Farm Finds Success at Showplace Summertime and Ledges Summertime Shows

Wayne, IL - July 25, 2007 - Telluride Farm, a hunter/jumper training and sales business led by Diane Carney, earned numerous honors during two weeks of showing at the Showplace Summertime show, held July 12-15, and the Ledges Summertime show, held July 19-22.

Catie Hope began the first week on a high note, winning the championship in the Small Junior 15 & Under Hunter division on Castille, owned by Gray Fadden. The pair earned two firsts and two sixths over fences and a second place in the under saddle class for the tricolor. Hope also took home the reserve championship with Majic in the Large Junior 15 & Under Hunters with two firsts, a third and a fifth place over fences and a second place under saddle. Her winning ways continued into the equitation and jumper rings, finding victory in the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search with Carmochon. In the High Junior Jumpers, Hope and her jumper La Paz, owned by Kathleen Hope and Don Stewart Stables, placed second and third.

In the second week of competition at Ledges, Hope again brought home the championship with Castille, sweeping all four over fences classes and placing third in the under saddle. She and Majic also earned top ribbons in the Large Junior 15 & Under Hunters. The 15-year-old competed in her first grand prix class and finished tenth out of 30 entries with just four faults.

Other champions include Brenda Mueller and That'll Do, who competed in the Regular Working Hunter division. Owned by Carney and Don Stewart, That'll Do took home the champion both weeks, with two firsts and two seconds and a first in the under saddle at Showplace. For the Ledges show, the pair received the same ribbons for a second tricolor. Also having repeat results over the two weeks was Lauren McGraw, who won both the short stirrup championship and the short stirrup classic back-to-back with Diabella. Virgina Bartholomay and Decorated Song had strong ribbons in the Amateur-Owner Hunter division.

In the 1.10m Children's Jumper division, Stephanie Pearson earned the tricolor with Sympathico 3, owned by Carney, winning the Children's/Adult Jumper optimum time class and placing second in the $1,500 Child/Adult Marshall & Sterling Jumper class. In addition, Pearson placed second in the NAL 1.10m Classic and took eighth place in the $1,500 WIHS Child/Adult Jumper class.

Telluride Farm will compete next at EquiFest I and II, from August 1 through August 12, in St. Charles, IL, at the Lamplight Equestrian Center.
