New Champions for 2006 USDF/Dover Saddlery Medal Program

LITTLETON, MA, April 16, 2007– Dover Saddlery announces the 2006 USDF/Dover Saddlery Adult Amateur Medal champions.

Jacqueline Grande of Rancho Santa Fe, California was named the 2006 USDF/Dover Saddlery Adult Amateur Medal National Champion with a score of 69.869%. Grande, who rides at Oakridge Farms, a dressage boarding facility in Rancho Santa Fe, California, has been riding since the age of five. She won upon her mount Ducati, a six-year-old Hanoverian Warmblood. When not riding, Jackqueline enjoys a career in gemology and jewelry design. Grande will receive a Jaguar Dressage Saddle along with a $1000 Dover Saddlery gift certificate.

Krystalann Shingler, a student at Florida Atlantic University was named Reserve Champion with the second highest average score of 68.349%. She currently trains in Wellington, Florida with Shannon Dueck and her partner Tividor, a six-year-old Dutch Warmblood. Shingler, who has been riding since age six, hails from Toronto, Canada where she was a member of the 2003 Young Riders Dressage Team. As Reserve Champion, Shingler will receive a Jaguar Bridle as well as a $500 gift certificate to Dover Saddlery.

About the USDF/Dover Saddlery Adult Medal Program

Working cooperatively with the United States Dressage Federation (USDF), Dover Saddlery designed the USDF/Dover Adult Amateur Medal Program to recognize and encourage the adult amateur riding at Second Level. Each USDF/Dover Adult Medal class winner receives a handcrafted pewter USDF/Dover Medal and neck ribbon along with a Dover Saddlery gift certificate. The USDF/Dover National Merit Awards were created for riders winning three USDF/Dover Adult Amateur Medals during the competition year. The USDF/Dover Adult Amateur Medal National Champion and Reserve Champion year end awards are presented at the USDF Convention to the National Merit riders with the highest and second highest average of their top three winning rides in USDF/Dover Adult Amateur Medal classes during the competition year.
