Michael Mronz: “Fans are particularly looking forward to the new disciplines”
The ticket demand for the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen 2007 (July 3-8), is high with just under 100 days to go before the Opening Ceremony: 150,000 tickets for the competitions in – for the first time in the history of the tournament - five disciplines, have already been sold, however tickets are still available for most of the events from the ticket hotline on +49-(0)241-917-1111. “We are delighted with the advanced sales,“ commented Michael Mronz, General Director of the Aachener Reitturnier GmbH. “The CHIO is clearly profiting from the boom triggered off by the World Equestrian Games in Aachen last year. The equestrian sport fans can hardly wait to experience a CHIO, which thanks to the new disciplines will almost reach the quality of World Championships.“
In 2007 two further disciplines, eventing and vaulting, have been added to the classic disciplines of show-jumping, dressage and driving. “We are especially pleased that the new disciplines are receiving such a good response from the public,“ said Mronz. “So anyone who wants to secure their favoured tickets – for instance for special highlights such as the Mercedes-Benz Nations’ Cup of the show-jumpers on Thursday evening – will have to hurry.“
