Debby Sanguinetti and She Aint Plain Win NRCHA Stakes Non Pro Hackamore Championship

Debby Sanguinetti, of Farmington, California, had already qualified She Aint Plain for the National Reined Cow Horse Association Stakes Intermediate Non Pro finals, during the preliminaries at the Idaho Horse Park in Nampa, Idaho.

However, with an open day, the venerable competitor decided to enter the 4-year-old mare in the Non Pro Hackamore class. It was a lucrative decision, and Sanguinetti earned the Championship title, a C.R. Morrison trophy, and $1,500. Was her scores good?

“I’m really pleased with her here,” she said after the win. That’s not surprising because She Aint Plain has a special place in Debby’s heart. She’s out of a mare named Bex Leoak Chex, who was owned by an old friend – Jane Tatum. “They let us use her as a broodmare,” Debby explained. “It’s pretty cool when she does well.”

Sanguinetti will show She Aint Plain, by Just Plain Colonel, in the NRCHA Stakes Intermediate Non Pro finals Sunday, March 30.

The National Reined Cow Horse Association, the governing body of cow horse competition, is responsible for promoting the sport, insuring high standards of competition and educating members and the public about the history and tradition of the cow horse. Through the support of a Corporate Partner family that includes Wayne Hodges 4-Star Trailers and Outlaw Conversions, Bob's Custom Saddles, Cinch, Inc., Classic Equine, Gist Silversmiths, MD Barns, Platinum Performance, Inc., Nutrena, Quarter Horse News & Performance Horse magazine, the Peppermill Hotel/Resort, Fort Dodge West Nile Innovator, Rios of Mercedes, Merial products ULCERGARD and GASTROGARD, Great American Insurance Company and the Silver Legacy Hotel, the association works to keep the vaquero tradition alive in today’s equine industry.
