Deeridge Farm Has Solid Performances at Lake Placid Horse Show

Lake Placid, NY - Deeridge Farm, which is based in East Aurora, NY, and Wellington, FL, competed this past week at the Lake Placid Horse Show in New York. They had solid performances in the jumper, hunter, and equitation arenas.

Lou Jacobs and Kachina finished fifth in the $7,500 1.45m Open Jumper Time First Jump-off class. They also competed in the $75,000 Budweiser Grand Prix of Lake Placid, CSI 3* and the $30,000 Open Jumper Classic. Lou and Soleil finished third in the $7,500 Low Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic.

In the $10,000 High Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic, Charlie Jacobs and Pia finished in eighth place. Charlotte Jacobs and Missy Clark's Ramone finished sixth in the $3,000 NAL Children's Jumper Classic and fourth in the Children's Jumper division.

Rounding out the jumper ribbons was Joan Jacobs on Boyke 2, who finished tenth in the $5,000 Adult Jumper Classic.

Katie Jacobs-Robinson had a solid week in the Amateur-Owner Over 35 Hunters. She piloted So You Say to second, fourth, fourth, and fifth place ribbons over fences in the division.

Joan Jacobs and Downtown Flyer, owned by Missy Clark, competed in the Adult Amateur 36-50 Hunters. They picked up two seconds and a fourth over fences. In the same division, Kimberly Jacobs rode two horses. On Oxbow, she was sixth and eighth, and on Carol Toulas' Dawson, she finished sixth and eighth as well.

Melissa Jacobs competed in the Children's Hunters 14 & Under division with Dakota and placed fifth and eighth. In the Large Children's Pony Hunters, Grace Robinson and Sunday Sneakers were second and fifth. Phoebe Robinson and Red Dragon were competitive in the Small Junior 15 & Under Hunters, placing second, third, and fifth. Phoebe also rode Oxford for Cassandra Herman in the Large Junior 15 & Under Hutners and placed eighth. Charlotte Jacobs and her equitation horse Wilkinton won the Equitation 12-14 over fences class. They also finished seventh in the ASPCA Maclay class.

Deeridge Farm will compete next at the I Love New York Horse Show in Lake Placid on July 2-6, 2008.
