Wellington, FL - April 8, 2008 - Deeridge Farm, which is based in East Aurora, NY, and Wellington, FL, had a great final week to the CN Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). They won championships and took top ribbons in invitational classics, as well as finishing well in the circuit champion standings.
Katie Jacobs-Robinson and So You Say won the championship in the Amateur-Owner Over 35 Hunters. They placed first over fences and finished second in the remaining three over fences classes for the championship.
Grace Robinson and Hillcrest Country Lady were champions in the Medium Children's Pony Hunters. They were second under saddle, won two over fences classes and were third in the remaining class. On Redwood Forest, Robinson picked up first, second, and third place ribbons in the Large Children's Pony Hunters.
Phoebe Robinson and Red Dragon had top finishes in the Children's 14 & Under Hunters, as did Melissa Jacobs and Dakota. Robinson and Maxim moved up to compete for the first time in the Large Junior 15 & Under Hunters this past week.
A top finish in the $30,000 High Amateur-Owner Jumper Invitational Classic came from Charlie Jacobs and Pia. They finished fourth in the class that featured the best amateur-owner jumper riders from the entire circuit.
Kimberly Jacobs and Oxbow were competitive in the Adult Amateur 36-49 Hunters. In the Adult Amateur 36-49 Jumpers, Go West and Joan Jacobs finished third in the WEF circuit standings.
Deeridge Farm congratulates its riders on a wonderful winter season and looks forward to competing and winning more this summer.
