Deeridge Farm and Louis Jacobs Picks Up More Wins and Championships at the Hampton Classic Horse Show

Bridgehampton, NY - September 4 - Deeridge Farm showed up to win last week at the Hampton Classic Horse Show. The show ran from August 24-31, 2008. With lots of stiff competition, Deeridge Farm had to bring their 'A' game in order to stay competitive. They did just that, ending the week with some impressive ribbons. Deeridge Farm has two locations in East Aurora, NY, and Wellington, FL.

Louis Jacobs was a dominate force last week at the Hampton Classic. Jacobs was on his game, gathering great ribbons in many classes. He was champion aboard Soleil in the Amateur Owner Jumpers 1.30m where he was first in a $2,500 Amateur Owner Jumper 1.30m class and was second in another. Soleil is owned by Deeridge Farm. Also aboard Soliel, Jacobs was seventh in the $5,000 Amateur/Owner Jumper Classic.

On another Deeridge Farm's horse, Kachina, Jacobs had some spectacular ribbons. In the VOX Rider Challenge, Jacobs and Kachina were third. Jacobs was second in the $50,000 HC GP Qualifier-CSI 4*. He ended up in ninth place in the $200K FTI GP and FEI World Cup Qualifier. In the $20,000 Nicolock Time Challenge, Jacobs and Kachina had a seventh-place finish. The pair finished fourth in the $7,500 Open Jumper class.

Phoebe Robinson finished strong in her classes as well. In the ASPCA/NHSSA Maclay Horsemanship class, Robinson ended up fifth. She was aboard Cassandra Herman's horse Oxford. On Red Dragon, Robinson competed in the Small Junior Hunter 15 and Under division. The pair picked up third, sixth and seventh-place ribbons. On Maxim, Robinson rode the horse in the Large Junior Hunters 15 and Under. Robinson came away with a ninth-place award.

Grace Robinson had some great ribbons of her own in her classes last week. Riding Jouet, a Deeridge Farm's horse, she was seventh in the $2,500 M&S Children's Classic. In the Hugh J.B. Cassidy III, Junior Maclay, Robinson rode to a ninth-place finish in the class. She also rode Jouet in the Children's Hunter Horse 14 and Under division, where they picked up third, sixth and ninth-place awards.

Katie Jacobs-Robinson rode to some excellent ribbons as well last week. In the Amateur Owner Hunters 36 and Over, Jacobs-Robinson piloted another Deeridge Farm's horse So You Say to three fifths, sixth and seventh-place ribbons in the division. Lyn Pederson also competed in the division on Quentin, where they came away with fourth, two sixths and two seventh-place ribbons.

Next for Deeridge Farm, they will compete at the Gold Cup, which is September 17-23, 2008.
