Volunteers Create a Special Atmosphere at Dressage at Devon

Devon, PA—For 33 years, the volunteers at Dressage at Devon have helped make the event a huge success. Numbering more than 700 strong, the volunteer corps works tirelessly to ensure that every visitor and guest has an experience to remember. Whether their commitment is a few hours or an entire year, volunteers matter at Dressage at Devon.

“The jobs are varied,” says Volunteer Coordinator Andi Bates. “Those who perform them are cheerful, enthusiastic and hard-working. The result is a great event.” Bates has been involved with volunteers at Dressage at Devon for nearly 10 years. She continues, “I get volunteers from all over the United States and Canada. They are the hardest working volunteers I have ever seen. Many of the volunteers have been involved since before my time and they come back every year. It’s amazing.”

Because the volunteers work so hard, Bates does everything in her power to help make the experience as rewarding as possible. She says, “Claire Fitzmier handles the Volunteer Room and gets all of the food and drinks. Thanks to Claire, we eat like kings, and I’m not kidding.” In addition, volunteers receive tickets to the event, parking passes as well as the coveted volunteer goody bag.

Volunteer positions are available with a variety of job descriptions. To learn more about volunteering please contact Andi Bates at 610-331-6736 or email to whitehorsefarm@comcast.net.
