Wellington Equestrians Turn to Use of SilverClene 24 During EHV Scare

Wellington, FL January 2, 2007 As the Equine Herpes Virus (EHV) scare continues in Wellington, more and more equestrians are turning to a new product on the market to disinfect themselves and their stables. SilverClene 24, a powerful disinfectant, fungicide and virucide spray, is offered from EquiFit, Inc., a company that is devoted to the care and safety of horses.

SilverClene 24 kills bacteria in 30 seconds, and viruses and fungi in 10 minutes. It has a 24-hour active-surface kill. It is an effective deodorizer, is odorless, colorless, tasteless, non-corrosive and non-flammable.

The spray can be applied directly to gloves, boots, tack and buckets, among many other things. When purchased in large amounts, it can be used to disinfect an entire barn. Veterinarians, farriers, riders and grooms have used SilverClene24 to keep disease at bay and keep their horses healthy.

Craig Bark, a farrier based in Wellington, commented, I first saw SilverClene 24 when EquiFit handed out free samples at the open forum on EHV. I thought it would be a great way for me to disinfect myself and my tools when I had to shoe horses at different barns. Its kept everything clean, and I feel better knowing that I have disinfected everything possible before I work with horses.

Olympic gold medalist McLain Ward has his horses in Wellington and has taken the necessary precautions in his stable, including disinfecting with SilverClene 24. Weve been using SilverClene 24 for three weeks, he explained. Were happy with the product, and it seems to be effective. We have been putting it in our foot baths and spraying the barn aisle to keep everything disinfected.

The active ingredients in SilverClene24 are ionic silver and citric acid, making this a powerful disinfectant without unpleasant odors or pharmaceuticals. Following strict EPA protocols, it has been tested against many different viruses, bacteria and fungi. It has been shown to effectively kill many viruses, including strains of HIV, Influenza, Rhinovirus and herpes simplex in humans, and has been used for years in hospitals and nursing homes. EquiFit, Inc. strongly believes that it would be effective against equine strains of diseases as well.

SilverClene 24 is available in 4 oz., 24 oz. and gallon bottles and can be purchased in single bottles or by the case. SilverClene 24 can be found at the Gold Coast Feed and Supply, whose office is currently located at the corner of Pierson Road and South Shore Boulevard in Wellington.

Other Wellington locations include the Palm Beach Farrier Supply and Farmvet.coms mobile trailer on the Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds. Due to the ongoing crisis in Wellington, EquiFit, Inc. has redirected SilverClene inventories from their normal destinations to these and other outlets throughout Florida.
