Ellen Toon and Attache of JT Farm Are Victorious in Amateur-Owner Hunters

Wellington, FL - March 3, 2009 - In the eighth week of the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), JT Farm riders are continuing to win. Ellen Toon and Attache brought home a tricolor in the Amateur-Owner Over 35 Hunters, while junior riders Taylor Kain and Carolyn Lichtenberg were victorious in the equitation classes. JT Farm is led by trainer Jimmy Toon and has bases in South Salem, NY, and Wellington, FL.

Ellen Toon and Attache are no strangers to the winner's circle. They have garnered the WEF Circuit Championship twice and have won at some of the biggest shows in the nation. This week, they were consistently in the ribbons, with two second places on the second day, for the reserve championship in the Amateur-Owner Over 35 Hunter division. Toon also placed well with Invincible, who was last year's circuit champion.

The Toons have owned Attache, who is called Donald in the barn, for 10 years. The 13-year-old gelding is "part of the family." Toon expressed, "He's my rock, and he's just a wonderful horse. He's like a big black lab; he's just a sweet horse. He helps my riding tremendously too."

Toon said that Attache was "spectacular" in the handy hunter class. She noted, "I'm enjoying the handy rounds. It's totally new for me, and I really like it."

In the equitation classes, two JT Farm horses were successful. Spock, owned by Katie Galbraith and ridden by Taylor Kain of Lake Worth, FL, won the USEF/Pessoa Medal class. They were third in the WIHS Equitation Classic jumper phase and seventh in the hunter phase for a fourth place overall.

I-Toon, owned by JT Farm, was ridden by Carolyn Lichtenberg of Pelham Manor, NY. The pair was second in the USEF/Pessoa Medal class and second in the ASPCA Maclay class.

Brianne Link of East Islip, NY, had another good week as well. She and Silas V won a class in the Children's 14 & Under Hunters, while Jimmy Toon piloted him to second place in the Non-Thoroughbred 3'3" Hunters.

Link and Tallyman were second in the Pony Jumper Time First Round class and fifth in the Time First Jump-off class. On Black Diamond, owned by JT Farm, Link was eighth in the $1,000 Children's 13 & Under Jumper Time First Round class.

JT Farm will compete next at the ninth week of the Winter Equestrian Festival on March 4-8, 2009.

For the finest hunter, equitation, and jumper instruction in the South Salem, NY, and Wellington, FL, areas, look no further than JT Farm. At JT Farm, riders of all levels are welcome and are afforded the very best training by a staff of experienced, caring professionals who are committed to excellence in the show ring in equitation, hunters and jumpers.
