The February 17, 2007 Equestrian Idol Talent Show to benefit The EQUUS Foundation, Inc., at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida, promises to be best EQUUS event yet.
It’s going to be a musical battle of the barns – with trainers Patricia Griffith of Heritage and Frank Madden of Beacon Hill sparring for the top honor of “Equestrian Idol” against Grand Prix Rider Leslie Howard and other equestrians Taylor Blauweiss, Heather Caristo, Brian Lookabill, and Ki-Juan Minors.
The celebrity lineup includes Robert “Ryan Seacrest” Dover, who will Emcee the event and judges, George Morris, Mason “Simon Cowell” Phelps, Susie “Paula Abdul” Schoellkopf, and Gene “Randy Jackson” Mische.

The EQUUS Foundation, Inc., an all-volunteer 501(c) (3) non-profit fund raising organization, was founded in August 2002 to promote the positive use of the horse for the benefit of the general public and the equestrian sport as a whole. The first event, The EQUUS Equestrian Idol Talent Show & Bash, will be held during the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida, on Saturday evening, February 17, 2007, at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club.
The second event, The EQUUS Benefit Luncheon & Silent Auction on Saturday, June 30, 2007, will be held in conjunction with the $25,000 Fairfield Grand Prix, the culminating event of the Fairfield County Hunt Club June Benefit Horse Show in Westport, Connecticut.
