EquestrianSingles.com forms alliance with Mustang Heritage Foundation, founder of Extreme Mustang Makeover

(AUSTIN,TX) July 30th, 2008: EquestrianSingles.com has formed a key alliance with the Mustang Heritage Foundation, founders of the much anticipated Extreme Mustang Makeovers, working together to accomplish the goal of increasing more adoptions.

EquestrianSingles.com will feature a monthly newsletter that includes nation-wide BLM adoption locations, and showcases a “Mustang of the Month” being trained by a professional trainer for adoption. The website had previously promote BLM Wild Horse and Burro adoptions, and is very enthusiastic about the new alliance with the Mustang Heritage Foundation, and promoting the Extreme Mustang Makeovers and Mustang Challenges to their 80,000 member community.

Several members from EquestrianSingles will also be competing in this year’s EMM, on September 19-21, in Fort Worth, Texas. George and Evelyn Gregory met on the website, met in 2005, and in April celebrated their second wedding anniversary. The 65 year old Gregory said he has never been happier with his life, and recently discovered the joy of working with mustangs. He and his wife Evelyn both picked up their mustangs on June 13th. George is training Rika, a 3 year-old from Nevada, and Evelyn has fallen in love with Quigley, her handsome yearling who immediately captured Evelyn’s heart. The Gregorys have both made remarkable progress with their horses, and are looking forward to competing at this year’s Extreme Mustang Makeover.

It’s easy to develop close bonds with a mustang, and that’s exactly what happened to members, Anne and Rico. They met through the website in 2004, and were married three and a half years ago. Rico broke his ankle and was not able to finish training his mustang for this year’s EMM. Distraught about what to do, he called his friend, Austin trainer Jerry Lee Sewell, who specializes in Natural horsemanship. Jerry Lee, who also met his wife Catherine on EquestrianSingles 6 years ago, was told about Legend’s predicament.

EquestrianSingles.com president, and co founder, Marcia Zwilling was Sewell’s next call. “When Jerry Lee called us about Legend, we knew George wanted to train more mustangs after his experience with Rika. Several phone calls later, George made arrangements to pick Legend up and train him under the Mustang Heritage Foundation’s new Trainer Incentive Program. I love that these three married couples met through ES, then all worked together to ensure a happy ending for Legend."

CEO, co founder, Jan Mirkin, was pleased with Legend’s outcome. “This is a perfect solution for Legend. It’s wonderful how our community pulls together and continues to make a difference in the equestrian world. Our members sincerely care about horses, and it’s rewarding to know that they are making a difference in the world of mustang adoptions and training." EquestrianSingles.com has numerous other members competing, or becoming involved in the Mustang Heritage’s new Trainer Incentive Program."

Zwilling and Mirkin are looking forward to a long and successful alliance with the Mustang Heritage Foundation and Extreme Mustang Makeover. “We are very proud of sponsoring such a worthy endeavor.”
