Equine.com Awards Announces Winner

(PHOENIX) September 11, 2006: To celebrate its Tenth Anniversary Year, Equine.com, the world’s largest horse marketplace, is giving away thousands of prizes in the “Ten-a-Day Everyday Giveaway.” The winner of the August Monthly Grand Prize was announced today.
Christina Miller, who raises an assortment of horses at Tristen Trail Paint Horses farm in Killian, Louisiana (http://tristentrailpainthorses.com), was selected as the winner of a Safeview Truck to Trailer Monitoring System. This closed circuit, hard-wired system allows drivers to monitor the safety and comfort of horses in their trailer without having to pull over. Miller, a Western Pleasure and trail riding enthusiast, said the Safeview system will be put to good use.
“We have two Paint Horses, a Percheron, a Quarter Horse mare and a Shetland pony or two, and we recently used Equine.com to trade a Shetland for another Quarter mare,” said Miller. “We trailer our horses all the time, so this will come in handy. We might even try to use the Safeview system to watch our mares to make sure everyone’s getting along in the barn.”
To celebrate its Tenth Anniversary Year, Equine.com is giving away ten prizes every day on its Web site, such as special edition “Life’s Better at a Gallop” t-shirts, Charles Wilhelm training DVDs, free ads on Equine.com, and other prizes from PRIMEDIA Publishing. Since the Ten-a-Day Giveaway began in March, Equine.com has given away more than 1,900 prizes.
Other great Monthly Grand Prizes will be awarded in coming months including an Arena Rascal™ arena drag in September and Horse Waterers for Stall and Pasture from Nelson Manufacturing in October. The contest continues through December 31, 2006.
Equine.com lists more than $226 million in inventory for sale, including horses listed by breed and discipline, trailers, stallion service and equipment. Upgrades to the Web site have made it even easier to place ads, generate commissions, link to other publications and broker deals.
