Equine Ideal: Winter 2006 Online Photography Contest April 1, 2006

The Equine Photographers' Network is excited to announce the Winners for Equine Ideal: Winter 2006 Online Photography Contest! Hundreds of entries representing 11 countries were entered in the third annual equine photography contest sponsored by the Equine Photographers' Network. Professional and Amateur division winners were awarded first through sixth place in six categories: Performance, Horses and Humans, Head Study, The Horse at Liberty, Extreme Action and Artistic.

Prizes were sponsored by ThinkTank Photo, The Perfect Picture School of Photography, Fine Print Imaging, Ask SusanSexton.com, and The Equine Photographer's Network.

Based on the highest combined scores in their divisions Best of Show placings were awarded to:

Best of Show Professional: "Estishama Free"

Congratulations to Anwer Sher of United Arab Emirates

Best of Show Amateur: "All The Pretty Horses"

Congratulations to Vida Ward of Oregon

There was strong competition in the Peoples' Choice voting with a 50% increase in votes cast for the Winter 2006 contest. Winners of the Peoples' Choice Awards are:

People's Choice Professional: "Dante at His Bath"

Congratulations to Lyne Raff of Texas

People's Choice Amateur: "Quiet Moment"

Congratulations to Amanda Saunders of Virginia

Next year's contest, slated to begin accepting entries in December 2006, promises even more participation and incredible entries.
