Equine Photographer’s Network Announces 5th Annual Spring Retreat and Photography Workshops

The Equine Photographers Network (EPNet) http://www.equinephotographers.org 5th Annual Spring Retreat and Equine Photography Workshops is planned for Craig, Colorado for April 27 – May 6, 2007. This remote area of Northwest Colorado is known for it’s remote high desert beauty, abundant wildlife, wild horses and working ranches and cowboys. This region is also home to the Outlaw Trail and stomping grounds of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
This year’s event features two exciting offerings: the Member’s Retreat and by special invitation, the opportunity to shoot an 800 horse, 60 mile Horse Drive.
The retreat will include one day photographing the wild horses of the Sandwash Range and two days photographing cowboys and cowgirls working horses at Sombrero Ranch. Roundtable discussions and photo and portfolio reviews fill out the retreat schedule. Speakers and workshop leaders include noted photographer Scott Trees, Queeda Mantle Walker, author of "The Mantle Ranch", Kathy Bauer of FinePrint Imaging, Lynne Pomeranz, author of "Among Wild Horses" and Melanie Levy, EPNet’s own PhotoShop Wondergirl!
The retreat will be followed by an extra special photo event. EPNet Members have been invited to photograph the annual All American Horse Drive hosted by Sombrero Ranch. Photographers will have the chance to shoot this spectacular three day event and have once in a lifetime photo opportunities as over 800 horses are rounded up and driven 60 miles to the home ranch over two days.
Professional and amateur photographers, equine or otherwise, able to attend will want to mark their calendars for this great opportunity.
